The morning was young, at least wherever she currently was, and so was the countless experiments waiting to be touched upon. The puppets were hard at work, dusting every inch of the room clean where Herta was sleeping in her massive bed.
A squad of finger sized Herta puppets flew over holding Herta’s phone, dropping it on her head. “Ow!” Herta snapped awake, snatching her phone and rubbing her head. “Remind me to recalibrate you,” she muttered, her purple eyes adjusting to the light from the window.
Herta sat up, unlocking her phone and waving off the Herta puppets and scrolled to her agenda. “What to do today…” she muttered.
“Madam Herta,” a nearby Herta puppet approached, looking identical to all the others, Herta’s younger side. “You have a guest.”
Herta’s eyes pondered for a moment before her brain reminded her, groaning loudly. Herta fell flat against the bed on her back, the pillows sinking. “Ughhhh…” she moaned, closing her eyes. “Just let them in, I don’t want to leave my bed,” she grabbed her blanket and threw it over her pajamas, wanting to go back to sleep.
