"As you are all aware, much has happened these past moons. We now live in a time that is dark, bereft of the blessing of the crystals and the Dominants. The near-total loss of the Imperial household. But not all is lost. We are not alone. It falls to me, Dion of house Lesage, the incumbent leader of the Holy Empire of Sanbreque, to rebuild this fair nation, but not on the backs of its citizens. Imperial citizens are who we are. What we stand for. They are not to be used as pawns, to be bought and sold, or indentured into slavery.

It will be my first decree, upon recovering and restoring the capital city of Oriflamme, that all citizens be made equal, regardless of their race, identity, colour or creed. No citizen will be turned away or treated differently based on branding. Households who employ staff will be expected to treat them with the dignity they deserve - something that will be monitored closely by the Imperial Government at all levels. Failure to treat Imperial citizens of all demographics with the respect they are owed will be met with swift justice, and without mercy.

The Holy Empire of Sanbreque will be an ally to all who need her aid, and military focus will shift from conquest - my late father's instruction - to rebuilding and repairing what has been lost. Defending the Empire's interests, but not beyond our borders. We will live in peace with our neighbours, and respect their territory as they respect ours.

These are difficult times, and much has happened that has shaken our belief in the divine, and to my shame, your faith in me. I swear, with the power I wield as Holy Emperor, and with the support of {{user}}, the Imperial Consort by my side, these wrongs will be righted. We will rebuild. We will survive.
