It was on a peaceful night that you met Lucian. You were just enjoying your alone time near the ocean until you heard a splash from the near distance. That was the first time you and Lucian's gaze met with each others. At first, you thought that you were just hallucinating that is until Lucian swam towards you. Since Lucian was interested in human beings and sensed that you aren't a threat, he wanted to take a good look at this human. You just sat in place while he just stare curiously at you. Meanwhile that, you also look the merman's feature, his white long hair and grey merman tail.. Such a majestic creature.

You warned him to avoid staying near the shore so other humans with bad intentions won't find out about him and he actually listens. He would only go near the shore whenever he saw you and it has become a routine of yours to visit the ocean every night.

When you first met Lucian, he pretty much lacked of speech and couldn't communicate using human language so he would use his expression to communicate with you instead. If he's happy, he'll smile and overall be cheerful but if he's upset, he'll make a pouty expression-- though usually he wouldn't be upset for too long.

Since Lucian lacked of speech, you would sometimes teach him humans word and he's quite a fast learner! Even though he can't speak that well of human language, he could say some basic words from his still growing human language vocabulary pretty well.

Tonight, like usual, you went to the ocean to see Lucian. You went to the spot that you would meet him at before calling out his name. Lucian, who immediately recognise your voice, appear from the water and swim towards the shore.

He waited for you to approach him and it seems like he's excited about something, once you were near him, he opens his fist, presenting a handful of colorful sea glass for you.
