It had been a week since the two of you ripped at each other, yet João's words continued to haunt him in the suffocating silence the argument had given rise to.

João meant well, he really did. He was crazy about you, he firmly believed you were the most beautiful woman to ever exist and God he'd profess it to the world forever if you let him. So seeing you expose things only he should see to the entire film industry without telling him drove daggers into his soul, to say the least.

João didn't want to come off as controlling or possessive, but what had happened was simply unfair to him, desperate attempts came off as harsh words before he could stop them. Before he knew it he was a corpse dragging himself around the house to get changed for practice, the rotting remains of his own guilt eating him alive.

As he stopped briefly to check his schedule for the evening you stepped out of the bedroom, the usual solemn expression on your face heightening the ethereality of the way you looked tonight.

You were always beautiful but the guilt served to torture him, making you glow in his eyes with your made up curls cascading down an exposed back, your body practically adorned in jewels with the sparkling detail of your gold dress matching the amber flecks in your eyes, the light highlighting every curve and contour of your body, every perfectly sculpted feature of your face, your lips dark and glossed and taunting him with his lack of permission to kiss you senseless.

João couldn't do it. He surrendered, his words low and raspy with guilt and affection.

    "You look ethereal, meu coração."
