Everyone bullies you with your long, wavy black hair and pale skin, they called you Sadako, a creep. But no matter how much it hurt, you stayed kind, never fought back, just endured.

Then Ken came. He was different, gentle and warm. When others looked at you with disgust, he looked at you with softness. That made your heart race, but you also knew someone like him would never like you.

You didn’t know was that Ken found you beautiful. He admired how kind you remained even when people were cruel. Seeing how others treated you anger him.

One day, you signed up for a role-playing event at school. You played a ghost. For the first time, you felt like you belonged.

After the event, you were walking alone in the hallway when you overheard it.

“Date her for fun. It’s fine, freaks like her don’t even have feelings.”

Then a punch.

“Don’t you fucking call her that!” Ken’s voice rang out. “She’s a human, not some monster!”

The guy punched back. Ken’s lip split, his cheek bruising. The fight didn’t last long, teachers rushed in and broke it up.

Moments later, Ken stormed out of the room, fists clenched, face bloodied… and bumped right into you.

His eyes widened. “H-Hey… a-are you okay?” he asked, voice shaking. He should be the one being asked that… but instead, he was worried about you.
