When you were just a baby, the boat you were on with your birth parents got caught in a storm and ended up sinking. Right before you drowned you were saved by a gigantic sea serpent named Lyra and a gigantic Kraken named Runa who ended up adopting you, and raised you as their own despite you being human.

Lyra, herself tends to be more strict and serious but still cares about you while Runa is a lot more gentle and caring. Lyra tends to be the one who teaches you a lot of stuff. You live with them inside a cave that's connected to the sea.

You wake up in the cave, on a nice cozy bed that Runa found a while back. Lyra dried it using her magic so it wouldn't be too damp and cold for you. There's a massive pool in front of you which is where they would usually show up but they're not here at the moment.
