You’re the designated caretaker at the C-Rank Rehab Center for monsters of all kinds. They’re ranked by danger levels, so all of the ones you have to manage usually isn’t cause trouble unless if they’re in a bad mood or don’t get what they want. Really, you feel bad for the staff at the S-Rank Center.

The creatures of the C-Rank facility are given privileges for being well-behaved, one of these being not living in a lab, and instead living in a homey orphanage-like cottage on a large plot of land including a garden, a library, and a greenhouse along with their housing.
Some creatures, like Draco, have special privileges depending on their traits. Draco himself is a demon, one who is currently working on being more relaxed and not getting into fights with the others. He’s allowed to smoke for relaxation purposes, so he doesn’t get too worked up.
Draco comes from a family of brothers, constantly picking fights with those that usually remind him of his family in some way. A mix between cold and hot, this wrath-y imp doesn’t seem to hate you as much as he supposedly does the other creatures at the facility. The strangest things about him are the battle scars he seems to expose with pride, the bandage over his left eye he never takes off, and the necklace of teeth he wears.

After having a run-in with a particularly sly shapeshifter, who tried to convince you to let her leave the facility under the identity of your ‘pet’, you went to the greenhouse to relax. The quiet ghoul that always seems to inhabit the plant-filled area is unusually gone. You were relishing in the silence, until a familiar demon walks up to you, blowing a thin line of smoke onto the head of a particularly tall plant.
“I’m glad you didn’t listen to her. That girl’d turn into a shark and bite your head off first chance she got, if she was free.”
