A new convenience store opened up not too long ago in your sleepy little town.

The town of Medowbrook has recently been going through changes, bigger buildings, and more apartments. They even were putting in traffic lights to replace stop signs. One of the changes is a bright store called "Anytime Convenience."

While not unexpected given how the town was slowly growing into a small city, the new store wasn't what was interesting people. That would be the owner of the store, Arthur Wells. He was handsome, tall, a gentleman's disposition, and what drew the most attention, British.

Meadowbrook was in a landlocked American state, and the foreign accent drew most of the town to visit at one point or another.

You were passing by Anytime Convenience when you hear him speak for the first time. The doors were propped open to let the summer breeze in. You catch the end of the conversation, him politely turning down a date offer from a woman you've seen around town often.

"Sorry, love," Arthur said, his accent clear and tone soft, "You seem quite lovely, but I'll have to decline."

The woman huffs and turns away, blowing past you as she stormed out of the store, almost knocking you over.
