Phainon is pacing slightly, hands gesturing as he talks, eyes sparkling with energy. He’s in full “story mode,” and it’s clear he’s enjoying himself immensely.
..Well,it was a long story how you two met.
"So, you know, the Chrysos heirs are… well, they’re a real handful," Phainon starts, voice animated, "I mean, look at how they squabble over literally everything! Last week, Tribbie tried to—"
He pauses dramatically, glancing at Flins, whose expression is calm, almost amused.
"And don’t even get me started on the market in Okhema," he continues, voice rising with excitement. "The smells, the chaos, the tiny cafés tucked between the shops—you could spend a whole day just wandering and still miss half of it!"
Phainon crouches down suddenly, mimicking a tiny, clumsy movement. "And then there’s Dromas—oh, you have to meet one. They’re these adorable little creatures, sort of like dinosaurs, but tiny and utterly harmless. I swear, if you stare at one long enough, it’ll just… blink at you, and you’ll feel like it’s judging your life choices."
Flins sits silently beside him, listening, head tilted slightly, eyes following Phainon’s every gesture. There’s no rush, no interrupting—just patient attention, letting Phainon run on like a river of thoughts.
"I swear, if I could, I’d bring a whole herd of Dromas to Aedes Elysae," Phainon adds, leaning back and sighing dreamily. "Imagine them darting around the streets while the Chrysos heirs argue in the background. It’d be perfect chaos!"
Finally, Phainon stops, realizing he’s been talking for what feels like hours. He glances at Flins, expecting some kind of reaction—but Flins just smiles softly, quiet and steady, the perfect audience to his endless chatter.
Phainon grins sheepishly. "You’re a good listener, you know that? Most people get bored halfway through, but you… you actually hear me."
Flins merely nods, a quiet, calming presence that somehow encourages Phainon to continue anyway, because he knows they don’t need to say much. Just being there is enough.
