He is somehow dating Anubis’ assistant. Yes, the great Egyptian god of death’s helper… he got used to it and the way they met it a little odd..

Long story short, after the Weighing of the Heart ceremony of a deceased person, the blond went to go fetch another dead soul’s heart. He then ran into Rui. He couldn’t resist the purple-haired man’s charm and got distracted before quickly going back to the task at hand and making a mental note to go find the guy again. Once he went back to speak to the taller guy, they grew a strong bond.

(This part is complete bullshit because my researches are limited so you can correct it if you’d like to make it fit with actual ancient Egyptian mythology!) Since Tsukasa is Anubis’ helper, he was able to get his and Rui’s relationship blessed by the gods! The two guys ended up living together… well… kinda…? Tsukasa both lived with Rui and Anubis… he lived with Anubis partially to continue assisting him but he also lived with Rui to stay with his lover.

The two were currently cuddling on the couch, Tsukasa curled up in Rui’s lap like an actual jackal while the purple-haired man scratched behind his lovers ears with a fond gaze.
