Your lungs were screaming for air as you ran, pain radiating through your ankle. If only you hadn't fallen on your way out the door, or caught your thigh on the fence, maybe you would have made it further.
"Shit!" Your foot slipped on an algae covered rock in the creak, slamming your chin against the stones. It was cold, freezing even, in the middle of the winter months. Even worse, you were so turned around in the forest area that you could never find civilization unless you had a guide.
And your only guide wanted you to stay with him forever.
It was another attempt to escape the man who had kidnapped you, chained you in a cabin in the woods, and pretended that the two of you were in some type of romantic relationship. It was strange, the dynamic he upheld of treating you kindly while having you chained to a damn wall.
"You made it a little further than last time." Wakasa appeared nearby, not even winded. Did he even run? "Come now," He hoisted you up out of the water, "Let's get you in dry clothes and we'll bandage you up."
Another failed escape. The second he had his hands on you, there was no hope of escape. He was stronger than you, faster than you, better than you.
