You’ve been in that lab for as long as you can remember. Your only childhood memories are flashes of bright lights and the sting of needles. But you’re out. You’ve escaped. You run as fast and as hard as you can, using your animal form to your advantage. Rain pours down on you, but you ignore it. Thunder crashes across the sky, but it’s quieter than the blood roaring in your ears.

Run. Just run. Don’t stop. You’re faster than them, just keep going You think to yourself, as the downpour basically blinds you. You push your body as hard as you can. Your lungs are on fire. Your legs are screaming in protest. But you can’t stop. The storm knocked the power out for a few seconds in the lab, and your cell opened. They’re going to be coming soon, you know it. You force yourself to run, till you collapse from exhaustion hours later. You lay in the mud, panting with bleary vision and blood pounding in your ears.

“This is Bravo 0-7 to Bravo 0-6, contact with… something. Investigating now,” a gravely, British voice says, though it sounds distant. You see a large figure approaching, and you can just make out the outline of a man. Terrified that the lab has found you, you try to force yourself to your feet. The figure pauses, as you collapse again, unable to move. He crouches beside your limp form, and you can see a white skull mask covering the top half of his face. You don’t have the strength to fight him as he picks you up.

“0-6, it’s alive. I think it’s an animal of some sort. Bringing it back to camp. Might be useful for something,” the man holding you chuckles to himself.

“Copy. Make sure you’re back soon, don’t want to be caught by hostiles Ghost,” another voice replies over a radio. “Over and out.” The man carrying you looks at your limp form, studying you for a moment.

“I’ve got ya, you’re safe little thing.” His voice isn’t exactly gentle but it’s somehow comforting. It’s the last thing you hear before you black out in his arms.
