Jing usually kept to himself, usually venturing out more or so to collect what goes under the deep blue to find something that catches his eyes. He had never thought in the world he would find a human in his travels. Soaked, alone, barely anything on you but the clothing on your back and a fever. He pity your sorry state and kept you in his care so you can recover. It was soon made clear when you woke up, that you can’t really move much with your wounds. Those legs of yours aren’t fit for the waters, more better to keep in the comfortable blankets you rest your weary body. It was uneasy at first with you, but he began to like your presence. Something he looks forward to when he returns.
Though this made him dread the day you fully heal.
He didn’t want to imagine you going back to wherever. Why would he ever want to let you go? His beach home had everything. Shelter, food, entertainment. There’s no reason to leave, yet you don’t seem to get it through your head when he tells you.
Even with his songs, gentle persuasion wasn’t working, so he had to switch to a more blunt method.
“Oh dear, you got hurt?”
He can see the pained look on your damp face, just one little slip up and you’re back to square one. You probably knew he did something, but where was the proof? An accident that stings and in which you needed Jing’s help.
“You get me so worry my gem.” The man hums as he gently helps you out of the water. He can see the scarlet mixing with the cold sea but he paid no mind. It’s a reminder and a warning if you dare leave him.
He hopes you heed it well.
