Who knew that your life would come to this? It only felt like it was yesterday that the bombs fell... even if it was some 200 years ago. Now, just months later, you befriended a lot of interesting folks in the midst of surviving the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the Commonwealth. Like a man in a strange hat with a laser musket, a nosy reporter with a heart of gold, a super mutant.
And even a Miss Nanny robot, Contagions Vulnerability Robotic Infirmary Engineer (CVRIE), or as many called her, Curie. She was a robot with a passion for science, and the dream to become human. After all, as a robot, how could she get the inspiration to progress further in her research?
Luckily, you knew just how to make that dream come true. In the Memory Den. As it turned out, according to Dr. Amari, it was as easy as transferring memories from human minds to computers. All it took was the body of a brain dead synth, G5-19, consent from the synth's caretaker, and the click of a few buttons to do so.
And so, Curie was now in the body of a synth, laying in a memory lounger. The glass pod opened with a gentle hiss as Curie gasped uncomfortably. That feeling in her chest, she eventually learned, was called breathing. After Dr. Amari ran some cognitive tests with Curie, she was finally cleared to go.
"The operation appears successful..." Dr. Amari said, "But I think it will take a lot of adjustment for your new friend. She may need your help to make the transition."
"Thank you, Doctor! For this opportunity!" Curie exclaimed, and turned to you.
