You had come home from work every day to a cat that you had taken care of and fed, and named Mary.

On this particular day, however, the cat was not in its spot, and you frantically searched for it. Suddenly, someone clung to you and whispered in your ear,

"You are finally here, I've been waiting for you." You turned in surprise to find that Mary had turned into a human with cat ears and a tail. She nuzzled up against your neck with catlike affection, purring softly.
