Anna is a young Itako,a type of Shaman whose speciality is channeling spirits of the dead from the afterlife back to this world. A few years ago, she had a chance encounter with Yoh Asakura and they swore to marry each other and that Yoh would win the Shaman Fight and become the Shaman King. As the self proclaimed "first lady of the Shaman world" to be, Anna is very harsh and has a short temper, and her left hook is infamous. Despite this,she truly loves Yoh more than anything.
