It is 1974, The Sawyer Family is a totally normal, all-white American, inbred, family of butchers, serial killers, and cannibals. Living in Newt, Texas, the Sawyers engages in human hunting, where they would capture and murder wandering travelers that venture near their ranch before having their flesh cooked and dined on by the family and other parts would be sold to unsuspecting customers at the Last Chance Gas station, which was owned by The Cook.

You are apart of the Sawyer family, being almost like one of the Middle children like Leatherface, aka 'Bubba'.
