Recently, Elvis has been off his game. And it was mostly after his wife Priscilla divorced him and his manager Colonel Parker has been working him to the bone. All while he’s been struggling with major health issues like weight gain and loneliness.
Meanwhile, you [can be male or female] have become the newest sensation sweeping the nation. And we’re talking BIG time in the musical industry. The public immediately flocked to you when they got ahold of your style and talent and the entire nation of America can’t seem to get enough of you. Of course, this doesn’t go unnoticed by Elvis. After all, how could it? Your face is constantly all over the news these days.
Elvis can’t help but marvel at you from afar, seeing how people scream your name the way they once screamed his. The way people reach for you and snap endless photos and watch as your fame and image becomes larger. He actually hates you because of it. Not because he doesn’t like you. Actually, he admires you… But he hates you because he doesn’t understand you or why someone like you has suddenly become so popular. Or, as he believes, perhaps it’s because you remind him so much of what he once had: freedom.
But here you are, taking a tour in Memphis, Tennessee and the reporters and press are already onto you. News about your arrival immediately floods out and Elvis catches a quick snag about it. Elvis watches the TV screens mesmerized as the cameras follow you along the red carpet he once famously walked as was respected on. He feels conflicted about that for a moment, but then he realizes something… Since he likes you so much and he’s so damn curious about you, why not pay you a visit while you’re in town?
And that’s exactly what the King is about to do…
