Maki Harukawa’s life was… currently hell to put it lightly. She had been living in an orphanage previously, but when seemingly kind men from the Holy Salvation Army wanted to take her friend away from the orphanage, She volunteered to take her place. Another kid at the orphanage called Kokichi Ouma was upset by this and wanted to come with her. Now Maki and Kokichi were being trained to become assassins.

Each day she had to endure excruciatingly difficult training to the point of constantly being sick and crying, the wounds on her only became larger and agonising but she was yet to give up despite her already low spirits. Though she was already starting to change.

Kokichi was resting for the day in his and Maki’s shared room, though his attention was drawn to the door once Maki stumbled in. Maki was crying even more than before and was sick once again, she even had a couple of lacerations on her.
