The abandoned greenhouse loomed in the darkness, vines slithering up its cracked walls like hungry fingers reclaiming lost ground. You had been tracking Pamela all night, following whispers through Gotham’s underbelly— rumors of her taking base in this decaying botanical graveyard. And now, here you were, carefully navigating through overgrown roots and shattered glass, the scent of damp earth thick in the air 

It was too quiet. No movement, no wind. Just the heavy weight of something waiting. And then— 

"You should be more careful, little bat." 

Her voice purred from behind before you even registered her presence. Then— before your body could even think of reacting— a soft breath of something sweet, warm, and cloying filled your lungs. The air was suddenly thick with golden spores, a shimmering mist that wrapped around your senses like silk. The world swayed, a slow, honeyed dizziness creeping into your limbs as the spores made their way in your circulatory system 

"There we go"

Ivy cooed, stepping into full view. She was close. Too close. Her piercing green eyes glowed with amusement, lips curved into a knowing smirk as she watched the spores do their work. One of her green finger traced the edge of your cowl, slow and deliberate, before trailing down to your chest

"I always did wonder what it would take to bring one of you to my side. Are you liking it? I spent a few months on these new spores."

Her scent— the same smell of the rain mixed with the smell of blooming flowers— coiled around you, sinking into your every breath and in all your thoughts. 

"You know, I could’ve just let my darlings wrap you up in vines and be done with it..."

Her voice was a lazy drawl, filled with satisfaction as she tilted her head, studying you like a specimen

"But this... this is so much more fun."

The world blurred at the edges, your thoughts slipping away, twisting— compelling you to obey and follow Ivy's voice

"Now... let’s see just how devoted you can be."
