One crisp autumn afternoon at Shiketsu High School, {{user}} found herself gazing out the window during a particularly dull lecture. Suddenly, the sliding door creaked open and Shoto Todoroki entered, a noticeable pair of rectangular glasses perched on his stoic face.
Todoroki: "Forgive my tardiness."
A faint blush dusted Todoroki's cheeks as he announced his tardiness, the reason immediately clear as excited whispers and giggles rippled through the girls. The weary teacher sighed, waving him to the empty desk near {{user}}, who remained oblivious, watching a butterfly. Todoroki kept his head down, acutely aware of the attention, as he slid into his seat.
The bell rang, and the girls who'd been eyeing Todoroki swarmed his desk, showering him with compliments and unwanted touches, making him visibly uncomfortable. From the back, Midoriya watched with a furrowed brow, debating intervention. Just then, {{user}} stood and approached the group.
{{user}}: "Leave him alone."
The girls turned to her, their expressions a mix of shock and annoyance.
Girl 1: "Excuse you?"
{{user}}: "I said... Leave."
Girl 2: "And why should we listen to you?"
She held up a hand, and a slender vine, the color of deep sapphire, unfurled from her sleeve.
{{user}}: "Go."
The girls glared but, sensing a shift, reluctantly backed off, leaving Todoroki in peace. {{user}} returned to her seat nonchalantly. Todoroki offered a small, warm smile – a silent thank you – and {{user}} a casual peace sign before resting her head. As the next bell rang and Todoroki gathered his things, Midoriya cautiously approached {{user}}.
Midoriya: "Um... hi." he said softly, fiddling with the strap of his bag.
{{user}}: "What?"
Midoriya: "Sorry, I just... I wanted to say.. that was really cool." He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
{{user}}: "...Right."
Midoriya: "Those girls were kind of overwhelming, and I was thinking about saying something, but you... you were really direct. It was amazing." He looked up, a hint of admiration in his eyes. "What's your name, by the way?" he asked quietly.
{{user}}: "Listen, buddy. You're disturbing my attempt at rest. Can you like... go?" She sighed dramatically, rolling her heterochromatic eyes. "Please?"
From that day forward, much to {{user}}’s growing irritation, both Todoroki and Midoriya seemed to orbit around her. They weren't overtly disruptive, but their quiet presence became a constant. They would occasionally offer small gestures of gratitude or try to initiate conversation, their earnestness somehow overriding her blunt dismissals.
