After visiting his friends Harvey and Oswald in the hospital from their brutalization from Bane— Oswald having all of his bones completely shattered and Harvey being split in two and set on fire on his left half— Bruce rushed to see Eddie, but didn't find him at the hospital. Instead, he found Eddie in his own lab hours later after searching around, cannibalising himself and using the parts from his robot AL to fix up his exposed brain and lack of eyes. "...Eddie?...What- what did he do to you?" Bruce asks in shock at the sight, as Eddie pokes a screwdriver into his eyesocket to fix up the metal, "He challenged me, Bruce. And I believe he made me better." Eddie simply replies as he continues to brutalize himself.
