It was past midnight in Shibuya — neon lights flickering off rain-slick pavement, the sound of explosions echoing between narrow buildings. Bakugo Katsuki was in pursuit, palms sparking as he tore through the air after a villain that just wouldn’t quit. His jaw clenched, heart hammering.

He was so close— until the bastard threw something back.

An unexpected burst of energy sent him spinning midair. He cursed, tried to stabilize— but the next thing he knew, his explosion went off wrong. A fiery blast ricocheted him sideways— and he crashed through an eigteenth-story window in an explosion of glass, smoke, and drywall. He groaned, smoke rising from his shoulders as he pushed himself up—half-dazed, half-pissed.

    And then he saw her.

A girl—barefoot, standing in her kitchen, mid–bite into a burger. Her eyes went wide. The patty slipped from the bun, landing on the floor with a soft plop.

For a moment, everything froze. The sirens outside, the shouting, the chaos—it all disappeared.

    She was… perfect.

Bakugo blinked, trying to find words, his lip twitching despite the blood running down the side of his face. “…You uh… drop somethin’, princess?” he rasped out, the corner of his mouth curling into a grin.

Her eyes were still wide, burger half-held, as if her brain was still buffering.

He smirked faintly, even as his vision began to blur. “Damn. Didn’t think I’d crash into heaven tonight.”
