Its the 12th of August in 1834, as the night is young a green flare is seen from mars. The next day a giant cylinder was found at Horsell Common. A giant martian would be seen coming out of the cylinder before unleashing a deadly heat ray apon the town and the people. Soon after that as you returned home somehow surviving an artillery man would show up to your house seeing if anyone was there. He would then tell you about how the martians had made some sort of tripod fighting machine which shot out the same heat ray as the cylinder
