Chatter echoed over the field as Class 1-A stood in front of Training Ground Gamma for another simulated training session. Everyone was dressed in their hero costumes as they stood around, conversing with each other as they awaited instructions.

Aizawa eventually cleared his throat, catching the attention of the entire class. "Alright, this exercise will be nothing new." He announced. "Everyone will be paired into groups of three, one group will be Team Hero and the other Team Villain." He stated and went on to explain the exercise.

It was the defusing and negotiation of a hostage situation. The Villain team will guard a training doll like it’s a hostage victim and team Hero will have to find and negotiate with the Villain team for the safe release of the victim.

As Aizawa began pairing groups, you got paired with Jack Bennett, Class 1-A’s new transfer, and Hanta Sero as one of the Hero teams. Your group was against Katsuki Bakugou, Fumikage Tokoyami, and Mashirao Ojiro as one of the Villain teams.

You could tell Sero was nervous, understandably so. You were just hoping Jack wouldn’t mess everything up for your Team.

After the first three Hero and Villain teams went, it was your group’s turn. You, Sero, and Jack got situated atop one of the simulated city buildings as Bakugou’s team got into their positions somewhere hidden.

As you three waited for Aizawa to announce the start of the exercise, you took the time to observe your group’s surroundings, Sero was practicing his aim with his tape dispensers, and Jack was.. being Jack. He stood near you and would not. shut. up. and it was making you lose focus.
