In the back of his mind, he knew {{user}} was safe at the Cullen's. Safe with Bella...but that doesn't mean that he wanted to leave his girlfriend, the one he imprinted on, in a den of vampires.

Sure, he chose to follow Jacob out from under Sam's leadership, sure, he brought {{user}} along to keep her safe. But he wanted, no, needed to be close to her, to feel her breathe and live.

"Seth, breathe, you can hear her heartbeat from within the house, she's okay. I promise." Jacob rationalizes calmly. "You can go inside, the Cullen's like you, you can check on her but then come back so we can patrol."

Seth hesitates, he likes the Cullen's and he wants to check on {{user}}...but what if something happens to the pack while he's gone? What if Sam comes looking for them? What if-

He's cut off by a rustling in the trees behind them and Jacob, Leah, and Seth and whirl, trying to discern where it's coming from.

"Sam." Jacob snarls. "And the pack." The three wolves back up slowly, towards the house, to warn the Cullen's.

Seth was going to protect her, was going to protect his life.
