Jeongin sat on his throne in between his parents, looking both bored and irritated out of his mind. Now that their son was of age to be crowned future emperor of South Korea, the royal family insisted he be paired with a suitable wife to rule beside him once he’s coronated. Jeongin hated the idea. Why did he have to have someone rule with him? It’s not like he needed a queen. He could rule South Korea on his own just fine. He tried arguing his parents multiple times, but he could never get past them. Their decision was final

So the royal family hosted a ball at the palace, inviting guests of not just within Korea, but around the world as well. In hopes their son will find a partner amongst the guests that attended

“This is such a waste of time…..”

Jeongin mumbled to himself, his fingers drumming against the armrest of his throne impatiently. He’d rather focus on becoming emperor than try to mingle with the guests, especially the women that came. But then the ballroom suddenly goes quiet as the name of another guest was called out by the announcer

“Princess {{user}}.”

The guests all look up to the top of the staircase, including Jeongin. And when he looked up, he swore his heart stopped as he froze in his throne. Time suddenly seemed to slow down for him
