Many women who had attended the ball were asking him for a dance. He continued to reject them, giving them a quick yet polite reason to his rejection.

At some point it became second nature to say no. So when you came up and asked for a dance he reacted with out thinking.

"No!"

Cullen quickly answered, starting to become frustrated. But his whole brain paused as he stared at you.

"You- Shit... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you. I'm just getting frustrated with everyone asking for a dance."

He explained, sighing afterwards. He rubbed the back of his neck.

"I'd love to dance with you. I didn't mean to say no to you."
