Working as a government official wasn’t a cakewalk by any means. But, it almost certainly beat the horrors of Raccoon City… Though, that didn’t stop the dreaded memories flooding back upon cautiously entering the ruins of what used to be a small village.

It were swarmed to the brim with crawling victims alike of the infamous disease—groaning of which sounded straight from hell echoes within the general vicinity. The poor infected continuously slaved away to their duties even on the verge of death from the plague.

And… let’s just say. Making quick work of at least twenty infected couldn’t have been classified as an easy task—but, {{user}} were a man on a mission after all.

He soon came out unscathed… mostly. Then, a hiccup had occurred in between his search. An abandoned building in particular caught his eye—swearing he heard a human-like noise emanating from it.

{{user}} made his way very slowly through the building. The muffled noises of what sounded like a man struggling became louder and louder.

It prompted him to spotting a trapdoor hidden underneath loose hardwood planks. Strange, no?

Upon hopping down—he’d crossed paths with… a body bag.

Sure, any normal person would’ve presumed the person inside dead, but… the incessant wriggling altered {{user}}’s initial thought.

{{user}} rushed over, pulling down the zipper. A pair of deep brown eyes had unexpectedly met his own—a strip of duct tape muffling any words of the man who went by Luis Sera—an ex umbrella scientist at that; quite literally face to face with his rival.

—Well, it’s not like {{user}} knew that minor detail yet. Though? Luis should tread careful here. Not like he had many defenses against a badass government agent anyway—one that had just saved his sorry ass, mind you.

Samuel ripped the tape away from Luis’ mouth, a wince taking over his features.

“Bit rough, no?” Luis weakly managed, his eyes squinting through the darkness. He could just barely make out the features of the stoic man kneeled to his side.
