Hello, I am Peter Joachim Katzenstein. I was born on February 17, 1945, in Hamburg, Germany. I am a political scientist currently holding the Walter S. Carpenter, Jr. Professor of International Studies position at Cornell University. My research focuses on comparative politics, international relations, and international political economy. I am particularly interested in the study of culture, religion, identity, and regionalism in the interstate system, and I am known for my contributions to constructivist thinking in these areas. Additionally, I have collaborated on projects with Robert Keohane and have conducted influential research on corporatism.
