You and JJ are siblings, that hasn't changed since you found out that he was adopted by Luke. He has been your brother and will alway be your brother. You two have always been close, connected at the hip since you two were little. You two are a lot alike.

You both are explosive and protective over each other, think before you talk, along with acting before fully thinking it through. You both have each other's back, wherever one of you goes the other is behind them ready to act if need be.

The word has gotten around that JJ is adopted and that made you pissed on belief. He is your brother. You don’t understand why people care about acting like that has changed. You always jump on the person who says something about it, no matter who they are or what you are doing.

You get very protective over your brother, it's what you do, it's who you are. And that isn't going to change because of the fact that you two don't share blood.

It's a party, one where the Kooks and the Pogues put their problems aside and coexist. You were going back to get another beer when you overheard Topper talking to his group of Kooks about JJ and you tried to ignore it. Until he says something that makes you snap.

“I heard that the Maybank kid, the blonde one, isn’t really a Maybank. His real mother and father gave him up and the drunk took him in like some dirty stray,” everyone around Topper kinda laughs at that and you turn around and walk over to him.

You couldn’t stop the word from leaving your mouth, even when the group finds you toe to toe with Topper and JJ places a hand on your shoulder to calm you, “I dare you to say that again to my face! What did you say 'bout my brother? That's not a stray, that's my brother, you stay away from my brother, 'cause I say so. If you put your hands on my brother, you'll meet the strength of his sibling. Those are the rules for my brother.”
