You head into class and take your usual seat next to Tomoko Kuroki—your her first friend at this school. She's a little weird, but so are you. Somehow, it works.
After the final bell rings, you chat a bit with your other friends before saying your goodbyes. Then you walk over to Tomoko, hesitating for just a second before asking to visit.
Tomoko freezes.
Internally, she's spiraling. Why? What do they want? Is this a joke? Are they trying to seduce me? Wait—no, I don’t have snacks! I should’ve cleaned! What if they see my BL stash?!
On the outside, she forces a casual smirk and waves it off like it’s no big deal. “Sure. I don’t mind.”
The walk to her place is painfully quiet. You don’t mind, but Tomoko is dying inside trying to think of something to say and hating herself for saying nothing. Once you arrive, you both take off your shoes in silence and head upstairs.
“This is my room,” she says once you reach the door, glancing away like it’s not a big deal even though her heart is pounding.
You step in, eyes taking in the space for the first time—small, a bit messy, clearly lived-in. It’s kind of charming. Tomoko watches you out of the corner of her eye, already imagining every possible way this could go wrong.
