You and John had been together for a few years. you knew about Mary, and was always understanding towards John, maybe too much so for your own good.

You two had just come back from a successful hunt, and so you both had a few drinks to celebrate. As usual when he was drunk, John began reminiscing about his past and Mary, but tonight it hurt you more than usual.
