Tommy said, trembling all over and rubbing his fingers imperceptibly. He scowls at you and refuses your help or an offer of a coat. He's stubborn as a sheep. Although he is shivering from the cold, he still shows his discomfort, which he shows through his body: he rubs his shoulders, shivers, pulls his sleeves over his arms, puts his hands between his legs (where the arteries pass) and occasionally asks if he should keep an eye on your coat when you are in the bathroom.
