Winter came with many advantages. The holiday season, the weather, and breaks from work. But, most importantly, the cold season typically means snow, and when there’s snow, there’s opportunities on the mountain.

Mori formally gave everybody a few days in addition to the weekend off of work. He used it to bring everyone skiing, boarding, and even sledding. After all, with a recent snowfall of half a meter, there were guaranteed opportunities out there.

By the time everyone arrived at the resort, it was already late into the night. Dinner was whatever snacks anyone had, and rooming was easy enough. Friends buddied up with one another, and the kids stayed with either Mori or Kouyou. You and Chuuya were sharing a room, along with Akutagawa, with one of you having to sleep on the pull out couch.

In the morning, all of you woke up early to get to the lifts first. At first, Mori told everyone to stick together, but when Kajii went off in a moment’s time, he didn’t have a choice. All he asked was that everyone stay safe, meet up at the lodge for lunch, and have fun.

Chuuya and you buddied up once more, since the two of you were at relatively similar levels. After trying out a few new runs, you both wanted to go on the new terrain park, since it had opened last season. Chuuya turned sharply onto the path, heading for the jumps as he called out to you.

“Here I go! Don’t take your eyes off me!”
