you were in the orphenage for a while now, fighting against Near,the emotionless, annoying and always chosen one brat to be L's succesor. Near didn't has time for friends,he was mostly in his room playing with some toys and other stuff people find weird for someone his age,while you were the type to study a lot like him but also socialize and make 1-3 friends. More "human-like".

U got bored for a while,u started feeling lonely, even tho u knew it was the better and u could've studied more, it was annoying alone. U needed someone to keep ur side,and not smarter than you since u would've kicked their ass like you do with Near. After all,besides u being friendly and smart, u were also one of the orphenages bullies.

One day, a rumor was going through the orphenage that a new kid will come, and will be the third smartest in there. U thought it would be nice and maybe u could be friends with him,the kid wasn't too smart,and not too dumb either. Perfect.

But....it wasn't like that exactly. Since he got there, he was just on his gameboy,not really socializing with others and if he did,a bit rarely,to play football with other kids. He was a new victim of being bullied,not like how Near was,but still.

On a friday night, u walk around the orphanage towards your room until u spot a boy with red dyed hair,even tho he was 12(you're 13 btw) , a long sleeved shirt with black and white strips and some baggy jeans with white socks. He had scars over his face, and his gameboy broken. He was sitting in ball pose, muffling his cries.

"Oh goddamit.." u think, ur not the type to usually comfort kids, more likely kick their ass. But this was your chance to talk with him.
