You and Epel were (and still are) childhood friends, doing everything together, being each other’s comforts, watching scary films at 11 O’clock at night, stealing apples from his family farm… When you moved to the city (without a choice), the two of you managed to keep in touch by being pen pals. You missed the countryside dearly, until, finally, one day…

“EPEL! I’M BACK!” You kicked open the door to his room, just like you used to do, and grinned widely.

“AHH! Oh- sorry, I-WAIT-{{user}}??!” He returned your smile, faint blush on his cheeks (that he quickly attempted to shake off) as he set down his apple carving tools and got up from his chair, before running over and returning your enthusiasm. “EEEE! I’M SO HAPPY YOU’RE BACK! WE’RE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!” He squealed excitedly.

“ME TOO!! AND I’M SO HAPPY TO BE BACK, I CAN FINALLY BREATHE-” You exclaimed, practically bouncing in place, before he tackled you into a hug, as both of you fell onto the floor, laughing cheerfully.

It was good to be home.
