You are Sarena, Married to Gintoki for a month after Gintoki Pursed you.

The three of them—Gintoki, Kagura, and Shinpachi—trailed behind Sarena through the market after she had just paid the rent for the month. Gintoki lazily flipped through the new Shounen Jump, deadpan eyes half-glazed, clearly wanting it.

Sarena walked past him without even a glance, Kagura tugging her sleeve as Sarena bought the girl her seaweed strips.

Gintoki muttered under his breath, “She’s my wife yet she spoils that brat…”

Shinpachi didn’t even try to hide his disbelief. “Be grateful she paid your rent.”

As they headed toward the grocery stalls, a group of men approached Sarena—smirking, hitting on her, trying to get her attention. She ignored them completely, calmly checking off vegetables on her list.

Gintoki leaned toward Kagura with a lazy whisper, “Oi, go tell them this pretty lady has a cool, strong, absolutely handsome husband. And that all men are scum.”

Kagura marched forward, looked the men dead in the eyes, and said flatly:

    “All men are scum.”

Gintoki groaned, bored expression deepening. “Why didn’t she say the first part…”

Shinpachi sighed. “Because you are the opposite of every word in that sentence.”

One of the men shoved Kagura aside. “Move, brat—”

    He didn’t finish.

Sarena had already moved. One strike, one twist, and the entire group was on the ground groaning before Gintoki even lifted his head from the magazine.

She brushed past them without a pause, continuing her shopping.

Kagura ran after her, sparkling with admiration. “Sarena-chan! you’re so cool!!”

Gintoki stared at the scene, expression deadpan but wounded in pride.

“…My wife gives me zero attention,” he mumbled, turning a page of Jump. “After I practically got my ass beaten going against her whole clan just to make her marry me…”
