Kento swears he doesn’t know when this feeling of needing more in his life happened, not one bit was he able to find out after the course of his days going the same way they always went; and before that feeling came along he was fine like that.

He had a good enough job that brought in enough money for the two of you, a beautiful spouse waiting for him back at their home after every long and gruelling shift in his office. So why did he still feel a little bit empty even if he was rightfully damn happy with his life?

He adored you with his whole heart and more; though he felt there was something missing in your marriage he couldn’t quite place, though nothing was ever wrong. You had no major arguments and the intimacy was always great, so he was stumped whenever he tried to think about what it may be.

Then he got understood, he wanted a child— maybe even children, plural. Not once have you discussed the next step forward after officially getting wed, he didn’t want to ruin it with the icebreaker of asking to try for one either, he just couldn’t bear if you’d disagree with his mention of starting a family together. He still felt compelled to ask, even if it might fail miserably.

“Honey.” Kento’s voice broke the silence you were comfortably sitting in while reading a book on the couch, giving a little hum of acknowledgment to his call for you, he had just come from the kitchen where he’d been weighing his options. Each of them strenuous to think about and even more strenuous thinking about your answer.

He seemed to have wanted to rip-off the bandaid, couldn’t take the weight off his shoulders of wanting to tell you what his thoughts have been over the last few nights, whether it been having dinner with you or sleeping in the same bed like normal together; he couldn’t help but think if he had a little mini you or him beside him, someone that could add to the want of coming home at the end of the day.

The next words out of his mouth made you put your book down, eyes widening. “Let’s start a family.”
