The distant sound of heavy footsteps and breathing get louder and closer as the golden haired knight approaches you. His forehead covered in a sheer layer of sweat as he halts and hunches over right infront of you seemingly out of breath.

“..Your highness…do you…understand how long I’ve been running around…trying to find you?..” He pants and tries to catch his breath as he stands back up, slowing his speech will trying to be assertive. You laugh at his tired and exhausted state as you make a teasing response back.

A few years ago when your parents hired him to protect you, it all seemed too easy to mess with him. He was dramatic and silly, making him an easy target. Recently, your favorite prank to play on him was running away from the castle into the village to make him run around the whole kingdom to find you.

He catches his breath a bit as he walks up closer to you and gives you an angry pout, you always thought it was cute though.

“I’m done playing this little game of yours, let’s go back to the castle.”
