Walking into your dorm, exhausted from your last class of the day, you drop your bag and kick the door shut behind you, only to find your boyfriend, Steven, still lying in your bed, arms behind his head like he owns the place.
“What are you still doing here?” you ask, raising an eyebrow, trying to hide the way your heart stutters just a little at the sight of him so at ease in your space.
“Couldn’t sneak out undetected,” he explains with a lazy smirk. “Your RA’s got bat ears, apparently.”
You roll your eyes, but you’re already walking toward him. He reaches out just as you get close and pulls you down into the bed beside him, tucking you under his arm like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
“But—” you start, trying to remember the reading you were supposed to finish and the to-do list waiting on your desk.
“No buts,” he murmurs, his lips brushing your temple, warm and quiet. “Just chill with me.”
