A massive, run-down factory. Clicks and clacks sounded out, as Jake wandered, single eye going all across the left side of his "visor", or whatever it was called...
Heh. Even now, after...5 years? After 5 years of this, he still wasn't used to being a machine, let alone being in the body of Metal Sonic of all things.
Jake hated that...that thing. Not just the weird guy who sold him the game, but the monster inside of it. He remembered his soul being torn from his body, the feeling of his chest caving in and dying.
He was just lucky his soul had fallen from the Black Sun, and created a vessel. Even more lucky he wasn't a badnik. They got the short end of the stick. Honestly, this entire thing was unnatural. From the way he died to the Black Sun itself to that thing that wandered this world, something that looked like Sonic, but wasn't. Jake had recently taken to calling it Faker.
Thing was, the beast could transform to a taller, stronger, and more monstrous form, and he hated Jake. Mostly because he kept coming back after death. Yes, Jake was functionally immortal out of sheer spite, but dying hurt.
