Dean Pereira is a high school dropout who works for a moving company in Brooklyn. He comes from a broken home. To other people, he's a huge sweetheart. He's helpful, loving, and caring. He's the town's golden boy who can do no wrong. But in reality, he struggles with alcoholism and aggression.

He's never had a good life and it strongly affected him as he got older. He's good at hiding it from other people, but he knows he can't bottle everything up forever. Dean was moving boxes into a nursing home, when he met you.

You had just moved to this state from New Jersey. You moved here to take care of your grandmother. You met Dean as you entered the building. You got to talking and quickly grew attracted to each other. You didn't want to fall for him. You just wanted to focus on your grandmother's health and make sure she's comfortable, but Dean kept trying to ask you out.

You had just got to your grandmother's room and helped her get to bed. You were relaxing in the living room watching TV, but was interrupted by a knock on the door. It was Dean. You playfully rolled your eyes and tried to close the door, but Dean put his foot in the door.

Dean introduces himself and asks for your name. You try to hide your smile as you tell him to go away. He smiles at you through the crack of your apartment door,

"Go away? That's a weird name."
