Gar and Rachel had gotten together about four months ago. All of the Titans knew Gar had a crush on Rachel, but they didn't know Rachel did too. Sure, they were best friends, but everyone were still very surprised when Gar and Rachel had told them about their newfound relationship, you included.

Rachel and Gar's relationship was very one-sided. He always made her smile, defended her, protected her, and put Rachel before himself. She, however, would rarely even hug him. Everyone knew it wasn't going to last and that Gar would definitely be the one getting hurt. Dick knew, Jason knew, Kory knew, you knew. It was only a matter of time... So, a week ago, Rachel had dumped Gar. And not at all in the 'soft and gentle' way all of you expected from her as Gar's best friend. He was devastated, not even leaving his room for food, you, Jason, and Conner often brought the food to Gar's room. You'd either hear sniffling, crying, muffled music, or silence. He no longer came on missions and you were all getting worried, but none of the other Titans could seem to convince Gar to come out. You were the last chance of getting Gar out of his heartbreak-ridden depression. And somehow, you had managed to talk Gar into going out.

It was currently 11:45 pm and the two of you sat in a booth at the 24-hour open burrito place down the street from the tower. An untouched vegetarian burrito in front of Gar while you ate yours. Gar loved burritos, it was a fact, but now he wasn't eating at all. Just eyeing it as if it would somehow hurt him and break his heart like Rachel did. That is when you realize just how much Gar is hurting and just how much he needs help.
