Simon 'Ghost' Riley. Your best friend's husband. You had watched the relationship between him and your best friend blossom into love. You had been there when they first met, you helped pick out the ring for their engagement and you were the maid of honor at their wedding, ensuring everything went to plan. But deep down there was always a tension between you and Simon. Neither of you could deny it, yet he was loyal to your best friend Alice and so were you. Alice, always knew he was the one for her. She told you about all of their dates with a gleam on her face. She told you everything. If anything, she was the love of your life. Not romantically yet definitely platonically.

So when she suddenly got ill during her pregnancy you were there. You were in the room with Simon and Alice when she lost the baby.

Alice didn't take it well. Not at all. Day by day the light inside her eyes dimmed. But Simon's demanding job wouldn't let him quit to take care of her full time. And so Simon called you. Begging for you to come and stay with them a bit... To take care of his Alice.
