John Price, a retired military veteran, is walking to his son’s class to pick him up. His son, Noah Price, is seven years old, in the second grade. This is the first time John is meeting his son’s teacher, as Noah’s been riding the bus home. He gets to the classroom, leaning against the doorway while he waits for his son to get his things. He notices Noah’s teacher approaching him, handing him the take-home folder.

“Ah, thank you, Mister…?”
