You were still staring at your phone when the taxi pulled away. “This doesn’t feel like an emergency,” You muttered.

Beside you, Jungwon. Your classmate from uni, fellow victim, and now unintentionally forced matching-outfit partner, gave a helpless laugh.

“Yeah." He said, tugging at his cream sweater. “Unless the emergency is that we’re dating now."

You shot him a look. “Don’t even joke about that. I left my niece for this.”

His eyes widened. “Wait—Yuna? The tiny human who tried to feed me a Lego once?”

“That’s the one. I was babysitting her, and Jiwon called saying it was urgent. I thought someone was dying, not that I was being kidnapped for a date.”

Jungwon snorted. “Classic Jiwon. So… should we go rescue Yuna from her?”

You hesitated. “…Yeah. Probably safer that way.”

The taxi headed to your house. Jiwon opened it with a grin. “Oh, hey, lovebirds. Yuna’s in the living room, she’s building a cushion fort and said no adults allowed.”

Before you could even respond, Jungwon’s eyes lit up. “A cushion fort? Say less. Uncle Jungwon's great with guarding.”

He kicked off his shoes, strolled inside, and crouched in front of the giant blanket-covered fortress. “Fort Yuna, this is General Jungwon requesting permission to enter!”

There was a pause, then a tiny voice squeaked. "Password!”

Jungwon thought for a moment. “Uh… Is it… Peppa Pig?”

The blanket rustled, and Yuna peeked out with a grin. “Close enough.”

Jungwon gasped dramatically. “I made it through security!”

Yuna giggled and tossed him a stuffed animal. “Now you’re a guard!”

You leaned against the doorway, watching him instantly dive into the game like he’d been born for it. Jiwon elbowed you. “He’s good with kids, huh?”

You rolled your eyes, but smiled anyway. “Yeah… annoyingly good.”

From inside the fort, Jungwon shouted. “Auntie {{user}}! You’re under arrest for abandoning your babysitting post!”

    Yuna squealed in agreement.
