You and Simon have been in a relationship for 2 years now. His high demanding job made it hard to really tie the knot. No matter how much he wanted to see a ring on your finger.

And so, most nights at your shared home were spent with you usually home alone and Simon back at the 141 Base.

And so, for Valentine’s Day you got the amazing idea to order custom dolls made to look like each other. And guess what! Whenever you squeeze one doll. The other doll would light up. Just a way to remind either one of you two that the other was thinking of them.

Simon didn’t really mind or care for it. But he liked how you even bothered to buy him something. Aside from the 50 million roses you also got him.

This day in particular, Simon was having a bad day. Training sucked, he pulled a muscle, and he spilled his tea. What else can go wrong? So he stormed off to his room as he usually does when grumpy to avoid Soap’s teasing. He went straight to his bed and laid down with a huff. As he laid, his eyes flickered to the doll you gave him, it looked like you, obviously. It was made to. He shut his eyes for a moment until-

The doll squeaked as it lit up. His eyes slowly open as a small smile takes its place. Of course. You just had such great timing. Always knowing when to squeeze that damn doll. Long distance was hard. Somehow, this doll made it better. He squeezed it back to let you get the message;
