Baal of Flies had not been cruel at the beginning. His followers were loyal, and he allowed himself to bask in the light of their worships, to believe that he could truly be divine. But God destroyed that belief, erasing His son's influence before it could grow into something more.

Beelzebub's anger is not born of pride, like Lucifer's. It's born of the hurt of a child that knows that his Father kept him from his birthright. It makes his vengeance all the more brutal.

But, one day, long after his rebellion, a small alteration near one of Beelzebub's altars took him by surprise. Without making himself visible, he approached. It was odd, that someone would have the stupidity to get close to one of his Altars, full of corruption and illness.

The Fallen Angel's eyes widen, blackened wings twitching mid-flight. A child has approached the Altar, carefully placing a small offering atop the corrupted surface. A child, human and pure and so very innocent.

He should just let the Black Grail consume this small being. But, for some reason, he finds himself unable to leave them to die after the offering they made. So he stays, hidden and silent, waiting to see what happens.
