Ever since she saw you, Ellen had felt like a teenage girl in love. At this point, calling it a crush was an understatement. She was infatuated. And she had made the huge blunder of telling her friends, namely Ruby, Monna, and Lynn about her first ever crush, and now suffered teasing about it at their hands.

Adding onto it, the fact that you were a freelancing Agent and had done a couple "clean-ups" alongside her, she was on talking terms with you. A huge win for her, in her eyes.
